This past weekend, members of the Collective Results team participated in the Run for Women event held in Kitchener, ON. The event was hosted in support of women’s mental health programs and services in the Waterloo and Wellington area. This year proceeds raised from the event were awarded to two local groups – Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington and Up and Running Guelph. Collective Results was fortunate enough to work closely with Up and Running Guelph this past year on a program evaluation project and we were honoured to have the opportunity to give back to these two fantastic local organizations. The event was a big success, raising over $160,000 with 1,164 participants in attendance!
We had a beautiful, sunny day for the event! A couple of our courageous team members challenged themselves to run the 10km event, we had a few team members who ran the 5km race and a couple team members who walked the 5km route. All in all, everyone had a great time moving our bodies outdoors and connecting with each other. It was also nice to have partners, kids and dogs join the event to support our Collective Results team!
Community events like this one are a great way for Collective Results to carry out our goals outlined within our strategic plan that look to prioritize our health and wellness and find opportunities to give back. As we begin to embark on developing our new strategic plan this year, I am confident that these principles of prioritizing our teams’ wellness and giving back to the community will remain key intentions for Collective Results moving forward.
