Project Management

‘If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.’ Does that quote sound familiar? Maybe you heard it from a teacher when you were in school, a parent when you were younger or maybe even a Taylor Swift song (‘Mastermind’ if you were wondering!). It sounds so easy! All you have to do is make a plan, follow that plan, and just like that it all comes together. Unfortunately, moving a project from an idea to completion is not always this easy or smooth, and that’s where Collective Results can help.

We love to plan! Meal plans, travel plans, project plans, strategic plans, or really any type of plan, we’re all over it! In fact, the only thing we enjoy more than planning is putting those plans into action and seeing the final result. We have provided project management support for several clients over the past two years from project scoping and initiation to project closing, and they have all been great learning opportunities on how we can support clients to achieve maximum project success. For some clients, a project charter with clear, manageable goals and objectives and detailed project plan with scope, tasks, timelines and responsibilities is all that is needed. The clients have the subject matter expertise, for example in healthcare systems, but they do not have the capacity (people power, time) to develop these initial plans. After getting a clear understanding of the project and its deliverables, we develop project charters and plans and leave clients with a clear map so they can get from project initiation to completion.

For other clients, the project management is not only more involved, but also tailored to the organization’s unique needs. Again, they have the expertise in, say providing mental services, but they do not have the capacity (people power, time) or skill set (knowledge, training) to implement or drive a project plan forward. With many small to medium sized health and social service organizations, project planning and implementation support is a luxury that they do not have. For these clients, Collective Results drives each phase of the project from developing the initial charter and project plans to the execution/implementation of these plans, to monitoring with project specific indicators and finally reporting. The project journeys vary from project to project and between organizations, but the goal is to always ensure that our clients receive the support they need to achieve their project goals and obtain those final project deliverables. Where we really shine is in providing project management support to projects where there are multiple organizations involved, adding a layer of complexity and requiring nuanced and careful collaboration to meet the needs of all partners.

The past two years have been exciting and 2023 is shaping up to be the same. We are looking forward to supporting our clients with their projects in whatever they need to do the good work they do. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about the project management support that Collective Results can provide. We would love to help!
