The following blog was written by the Steering Committee for the Ontario Passport Agency Network (OPAN). From December 2021 to March 2023, Collective Results had the opportunity to support the implementation of the OPAN workplan to improve the Passport program. Collective Results was pleased to be able to support a program that is so important to many people in our community.
The Passport program, funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), helps adults with a developmental disability be involved in their communities and live as independently as possible by providing funding for community participation services and supports, activities of daily living and person-directed planning. The program also provides funding for caregiver respite services and supports for primary caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability. The Ontario Passport Agency Network (OPAN) oversees the strategic direction and operations of the Passport program across the province.
Collective Results’ guidance, expertise, and approach allowed OPAN to hone its vision for the Passport program, to the ultimate benefit of the clients and families it serves. Collaboration is at the heart of the Collective Results methodology; they prioritized engaging and involving our work group members in every step of the process. This inclusive approach fostered an environment where ideas were freely shared, and diverse perspectives valued. They guided us through this complex project by remaining committed to our goal: delivering a highly efficient, client-centred service. Every strategy, every recommendation, was carefully crafted with this end goal in mind, ensuring that outcomes were practical, measurable achievements. Collective Results’ dedication to our success was a constant source of motivation. They invested time in understanding the unique challenges and aspirations of the Passport program and provided the clarity and direction we needed to navigate our team through.
